Transfer out
If you already have a website, you can easily transfer it to our powerful content management system (CMS) and take advantage of our advanced email system.
Many domain registrars give you a Control Panel that will enable you to transfer out your domain name and will give you full instructions. However some make it difficult to find the relevant information or even charge for making the transfer on your behalf. Please see below for some advice.
1 and 1
If your domain is hosted by 1 and 1 please follow these instructions:
For .uk domains
Go to http://contract.1and1.co.uk
- Log in using your account number and password
- Choose the relevant contract
- Select either Cancel Entire Contract or Cancel Selected Domains
- Choose the Execute On date for the domain
- Change the cancellation option to Change Provider
- Click Continue
- Enter our IPS tag SQUAREZONE
- Click Finish
- 1 and 1 will send you an email to confirm that you are the owner. Follow the instructions to complete the transfer.
For non .uk domains
Go to http://contract.1and1.co.uk
- Log in using your account number and password
- Choose the relevant contract
- Select either Cancel Entire Contract or Cancel Selected Domains
- Choose the Execute On date for the domain
- Change the cancellation option to Change Provider
- Click Continue
- Go to the normal 1 and 1 control panel at http://www.1and1.co.uk
- Click domains, then select your domain and click info
- Make a note of the Auth Code or EPP Code
- You will then receive an email from us giving further instructions on using that Auth Code to transfer your domain to us
Remember to cancel your 1 and 1 hosting or they will charge you for hosting services
